Modano Scores 1,300th Point Of Career

NHL.com - Stars center Mike Modano scored the 1,300th point of his career in the team's win over the Oilers on Sunday.

Modano, already the leading American-born scorer in league history, is now one of just 31 players to reach 1,300 points.

"I've been lucky to be around for a long time and a bit old, but I've been fortunate to be in the game for a long time and I'm very blessed about it," said Modano, who first broke in with the Minnesota North Stars in 1989. "Teammates and coaches along the way had their hands in there. It's something I thought about and wanted to get it over with." [READ]
