Flyers' Briere Close To Return

Courier News - Philadelphia center Daniel Briere has been practicing with the team since Tuesday and hopes to return to game action soon.

However, coach John Stevens wants to be absolutely sure that his star is completely healed from the left groin strain that has kept him out of the team's last seven games.

"Danny's feeling better, but I'd say he is doubtful for (today)," Stevens said Thursday after putting his team through a brief on-ice workout. "We need to be careful here. He thinks he can play, but we don't want him to feel any hesitation." [READ]
