Lightning Send Ramo To Norfolk

RealGM Staff Report - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned goaltender Karri Ramo to Norfolk of the American Hockey League, announced by Lightning Executive Vice President & General Manager Brian Lawton.

Ramo, 22, made his 2008-09 NHL season debut with the Lightning on Sunday against the New Jersey Devils. He made 15 saves on 17 shots in relief of Olaf Kolzig.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Asikkala, Finland, has appeared in 15 games this season with Norfolk, posting a 4-8-3 record with a 3.48 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage. He was drafted by the Lightning in the sixth round, 191st overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 24 career appearances with Tampa Bay, Ramo has compiled a 7-11-3 record with a 3.05 goals-against average. [READ]
