Jackets Recall Dorsett From Syracuse

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing Derek Dorsett from the Syracuse Crunch, the club?s American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets? General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

Dorsett, 21, has one goal and one assist for two points and 56 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He ranks third in the NHL in penalty minutes and scored his first NHL goal ? the game-winner ? against Vancouver on October 21. In seven games with the Crunch, he has 1-5-6, 35 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +2. Columbus? ninth pick, 189th overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft, he has registered 11-13-24 with 324 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +7 in 71 career AHL games. [READ]
