Canucks' Rypien Out Indefinitely With Sports Hernia

AP - Canucks forward Rick Rypien has a sports hernia that will require surgery and is out indefinitely, according to an Associated Press report on Monday.

Rypien had two goals in the first five games before leaving the team after contracting a virus during a recent road trip. He had resumed working out on his own before team practices when he felt a twinge in his abdomen. [READ]
