Blue Jackets Add Goaltender Dan LaCosta To Roster

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have added goaltender Dan LaCosta to the roster on emergency recall from the Syracuse Crunch, the club?s American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson announced tonight. LaCosta is expected to join the club prior to Saturday?s game at Nashville.

LaCosta, 22, is 4-0-0 with a 2.09 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in four games with the Crunch this season, including 36 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over Binghamton earlier tonight. He is 18-9-4 with a 2.42 goals-against average, .917 save percentage and four shutouts in 38 career AHL games. Last year, he stopped five-of-five shots in 13 minutes of action in his NHL debut with the Jackets at Nashville on Mar. 25, 2008. He was Columbus? fourth pick, 93rd overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.
