Canadiens' D Carle Carried Off On Stretcher

ESPN - Canadians' defenseman Mathieu Carle was carried off the ice on a stretcher after being hit by Detroit's Tomas Kopecky on Wednesday night, according to ESPN.com.

Carle lost and regained consciousness on the ice after the hit. He was taken to Detroit Medical Center for testing.

"He was awake when he went to the hospital," said Montreal Coach Guy Carbonneau. "We gave him a couple of quick tests, and he was fine ... and he's going back with us." [READ]
