| 20th September, 2008 - 2:26 am |  Press Release - Phoenix Coyotes' General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have hired Derek MacKinnon as Pro Scout.
MacKinnon joins the Coyotes after spending the last five seasons as Video Coach for the Dallas Stars. In that role, MacKinnon was responsible for operating the club?s video capture and editing system, presenting video breakdowns to staff and players during intermissions and preparing video scouting reports for game preparation.
Prior to becoming the Stars? video coach, the Lismore, Nova Scotia native served as a Stars advance scout. MacKinnon was also a video coach for the Ottawa 67?s of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). [READ] |
