Wild Release Parrish

AP - The Wild have waived forward Mark Parrish with three years left on his contract, according to an Associated Press report on Tuesday.

Minnesota GM Doug Risebrough says Parrish was simply a victim of the NHL?s salary cap. He was paid $2.5M last season and would have cost the team a salary cap hit of $2.65M this season, bringing the Wild about $2.1M short of the cap. [READ]
