Straka Signs With Czech Club

AP - Martin Straka signed a one-year deal Thursday with his former Czech club, according to an Associated Press report.

Straka, who played for the Rangers the last three years after joining the NHL in 1992, will also take the post of manager-general for HC Lasselsberger Plzen, the club said on its Web site.

The Czech club announced the move June 26 but the deal was signed Thursday. Straka considered offers from several NHL and Russian clubs. [READ]
