Oh what a difference two years make, reports Hawk's forward Cal Bowdler as he looks around at a voluntary workout at Philip's Arena. Two years back Atlanta replaced leaders Mookie Blaylock and Steve Smith with Jimmy Jackson and Isiah Rider. Both are now gone, with one a free agent no one has touched and the other struggling to latch onto his second team in two years. "Look at all the talent we have," Bowdler said. "Would you believe it?"

"You never knew who was going to show up or when," Bowdler said of the change between the Rider/Jackson days to now. "Those were interesting times. And to think that Pete Babcock and whoever else is responsible could change the team this much in only two years is utterly amazing to me."
