| 20th June, 2008 - 12:03 pm | Press Release - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has acquired a fourth-round selection in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft from the St. Louis Blues for goaltender Chris Mason.
The Predators now have nine selections in today's and Saturday?s 2008 NHL Entry Draft, including four in the first 46 selections (No. 9, 15, 40, and 46). Nashville?s other picks are No. 76 (third round), No. 106 (fourth round), No. 111 (fourth round, acquired from St. Louis for Chris Mason), No. 136 (fifth round), and No. 166 (sixth round).
Mason, 32 (4/20/76), compiled a 58-43-12 record in 135 appearances for Nashville in two stints with the club (1998-01 and 2003-08). The Red Deer, Alberta native?s most productive campaign with the Predators came in 2006-07, when he set a single-season franchise record and ranked second in the NHL in save percentage (.925).
