Avs Could Be Without Stastny, Smyth

yahoo.com - Not only are the Avalanche facing playoff elimination, but they could be without leading scorer Paul Stastny for Game Four Thursday night against the Red Wings.

Coach Joel Quenneville told the Rocky Mountain News that Stastny is “unlikely” to play on Thursday after injuring his knee in the first period of Tuesday’loss.

The Avalanche could also be without left wing Ryan Smyth who is nursing a foot injury. [READ]
