| 22nd April, 2008 - 4:06 pm |  Associated Press - Former NHL player Mikael Renberg is retiring due to a chronic groin injury, as reported by the Associated Press.
Renberg who spent several seasons with the Flyers, most recently played for Swedish team Skelleftea AIK. Renberg told local newspaper Pitea-Tidningen that his decision to end his career was final.
