Mikael Renberg Retires Due To Injury

Associated Press - Former NHL player Mikael Renberg is retiring due to a chronic groin injury, as reported by the Associated Press.

Renberg who spent several seasons with the Flyers, most recently played for Swedish team Skelleftea AIK. Renberg told local newspaper Pitea-Tidningen that his decision to end his career was final.

?I?ve had groin surgery three times and am not thinking about a fourth time at this age,? Renberg said in Tuesday?s editions. [READ]
