Martin Plans To Return To Panthers As GM

ESPN - Jacques Martin plans to return as the general manager of the Florida Panthers next season, according to the Associated Press.

He was stripped of his coaching title last week, but said on Tuesday that he will accept an offer from the team's owner to remain in the front office.

"I've talked with the ownership and I'll stay on as the general manager," Martin said when reached by phone in Ottawa. "It's an opportunity to continue the work I've started as general manager. I'm happy with and excited about the new challenge." [READ]
