Jackets Send Methot To AHL Syracuse

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Marc Methot to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

Methot, 22, has appeared in nine games and recorded eight penalty minutes with the Blue Jackets this season. He has also tallied 6-4-10 with 111 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 59 games with Syracuse. Columbus? seventh pick, 168th overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft, he made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets in 2006-07 and collected 0-4-4 and 14 penalty minutes with a plus/minus rating of +5 in 20 games. In 178 career AHL games, he has registered 9-30-39 and 242 penalty minutes with the Crunch. [READ]
