Jackets' Tollefsen Undergoes Successful Surgery

Press Release - Columbus Blue Jackets' defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen underwent successful surgery this morning to relieve pressure on a nerve in his cervical spine, General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Following two months of rehabilitation, Tollefsen is expected to make a complete recovery and be cleared to play prior to the start of training camp in September.

Tollefsen, 24, appeared in 51 games with the Blue Jackets this season, tallying two goals and two assists for four points and 111 penalty minutes. Columbus? third pick, 65th overall in the 2002 Entry Draft, he has registered 4-5-9 and 236 penalty minutes in 126 career NHL games. [READ]
