Jackets Recall Methot From AHL Syracuse

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have added defenseman Marc Methot to the roster on emergency recall from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Methot is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Blue Jackets visit the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.

Methot, 22, has appeared in eight games and recorded six penalty minutes with the Blue Jackets this season. He has also tallied 6-4-10 with 111 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 59 games with Syracuse. Columbus? seventh pick, 168th overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft, he made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets in 2006-07 and collected 0-4-4 and 12 penalty minutes with a plus/minus rating of +5 in 20 games. In 178 career AHL games, he has registered 9-30-39 and 242 penalty minutes with the Crunch. [READ]
