Kings Recall Goaltender Taylor From AHL Manchester

The Los Angeles Kings have recalled goaltender Daniel Taylor (emergency recall) from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL), Kings' President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced.

Taylor, 21, has played in 23 games with the Monarchs this season and has recorded a 13-5-2 record, four shutouts, a 2.40 goals-against-average, and a .921 save percentage (the 13 wins and four shutouts lead the team as does his 2.40 GAA and .921 save percentage). In January, he was named the AHL?s Goaltender of the Month after he posted a 5-0-0 record in six appearances including three shutouts. Taylor has also this season played in three games with Reading (ECHL), where he went 3-0-0 with a 2.64 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

He was originally selected by the Kings in the seventh-round (221st overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and has not played in the NHL. He will wear No. 46. [READ]
