Gagne Won't Return Unless Philly Makes Cup
26th March, 2008 - 6:07 pm
ESPN - Forward Simon Gagne won't return for the Flyers this season because of a series of concussions unless Philadelphia makes the Stanley Cup Finals, according to the Associated Press.

"If we go all the way this year, you might see me skating again and getting ready again," Gagne said Wednesday. "But, no, I'm not coming back."

He hasn't played since Feb. 10 and has been advised by a concussion specialist to sit out the season.

"I'm going in the right direction like I want," he said. "I'm sure I'd like to be 100 percent right away, but I know it's going to take time. We've got a long period of time in front of me before I start playing again." [READ]
