Anaheim's Perry Will Miss Six Weeks
7th March, 2008 - 2:20 pm
RealGM Staff Report - Ducks RW Corey Perry suffered a right quad tendon laceration (above right knee) last night against Colorado during the third period. Perry underwent successful surgery last night to repair the tendon, performed by Avalanche Team Physician Dr. Andy Parker at a local Denver hospital.

Perry was not in any serious danger and is expected to be released from the hospital today or tomorrow. He is expected to be out of the lineup approximately six weeks.

"Corey is doing very well this morning, thanks to both clubs? medical staffs," said Ducks Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Burke. "His injury is not career-threatening and we expect him back 100 percent in approximately six weeks." [READ]
