Colorado's Smyth Taken Off On Stretcher

ESPN - Ryan Smyth of the Avalanche was taken off the ice on a stretcher after being hit in a game against the Kings on Saturday night, according to the Associated Press.

He was conscious and alert but was sent for further tests according to team officials.

Smyth was hit into the glass by Los Angeles defenseman Jack Johnson during the second period.
