Maple Leafs Recall Newbury And Williams

RealGM Staff Report - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that forwards Kris Newbury and Jeremy Williams have been recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Newbury has played in 12 games for the Maple Leafs this season, registering one goal and 11 penalty minutes. In 50 AHL games, Newbury ranks second on the Marlies with 40 points (15 goals, 25 assists) and third in penalty minutes with 95.

Williams has collected 18 goals and 15 assists, along with 33 penalty minutes in 49 games for the Marlies this season. Williams has played in two career games for the Maple Leafs and is the only player in NHL history to play in two games and score a goal in each game. [READ]
