Leafs Send Newbury To AHL Marlies

RealGM Staff Report - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Saturday that forward Kris Newbury has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Newbury played in 12 games for the Maple Leafs this season, scoring one goal and registering 11 penalty minutes. In 41 AHL games, Newbury ranks second on the Marlies with 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) and third in penalty minutes with 91. The Brampton, Ontario native was the San Jose Sharks fourth pick, 139th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. [READ]
