Leafs Send Wozniewski, Ondrus To AHL Marlies

RealGM Staff Report - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that defenceman Andy Wozniewski and forward Ben Ondrus have been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Wozniewski, 27, has played in 48 games for the Maple Leafs this season, collecting two goals and seven assists for nine points, along with 54 minutes in penalties. The native of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Maple Leafs on May 27, 2004.

Ondrus, 25, has played in three games for the Maple Leafs in 2007-08 and has five minutes in penalties. He was recalled on January 30 from the Marlies. In 44 AHL games this season, he has recorded eight goals, six assists, and 55 penalty minutes. [READ]
