| 1st February, 2008 - 10:27 am |  The Buffalo News - Maxim Afinogenov, who has missed 12 games with a slight groin tear, skated with the Sabres on Thursday and could return to the ice on Friday night when Buffalo faces the Atlanta Thrashers.
"I feel definitely better," Afinogenov told the News on Thursday. "It?s not sore anymore. I just had my first practice with the guys, and I skated before by myself. It feels pretty good. Hopefully, it?s going to improve even more. I?ve got more strength, and I?d like to play as soon as possible."
"I tried to move different ways, tried to pick up speed and felt good. We?ll see how I?m going to do [today]. I?m going to skate in the morning skate, and we?re going to see from that." [READ] |
