Avs Recall Hensick From AHL Lake Erie

RealGM Staff Report - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that it has recalled forward T.J. Hensick from the team?s American Hockey League affiliate the Lake Erie Monsters.

Hensick is coming off a four-point effort at the 2008 AHL All-Star Game held Monday night in Binghamton, N.Y. The Lansing, Mich., native had two goals and two assists for the PlanetUSA squad which lost 9-8 in a shootout to the Canadian All-Stars. Hensick?s four points led all players, and he also registered a game-high seven shots.

Hensick has tallied 21 points (6g/15a) in 25 games with the Monsters this season. He was leading the team in scoring prior to his first recall by the Avalanche on Nov. 29.

Colorado?s third-round choice (88th overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft, the 22-year old has notched three points (1g/2a) in 19 games with the Avalanche. [READ]
