Avs Send Hensick To AHL Lake Erie

RealGM Staff Report - The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced this evening that it has reassigned forward T.J. Hensick to the team?s American Hockey League affiliate the Lake Erie Monsters.

Hensick is scheduled to participate in the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic this Monday (Jan. 28) in Binghamton, N.Y. The 22-year old, who was recalled by the Avalanche for the third time this season on Jan. 17, was named to the PlanetUSA roster on Jan. 10. He will be Lake Erie?s lone representative at the AHL All-Star Game.

Colorado?s third-round choice (88th overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft, Hensick has recorded 18 points (5g/13a) in 24 games with the Monsters this season. He was leading the team in scoring prior to his first recall by the Avalanche on Nov. 29.

Hensick has three points (1g/2a) in 19 games with the Avalanche. [READ]
