Blue Jackets Send Methot To AHL Syracuse

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Marc Methot to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets? General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

Methot, 22, has appeared in six games and recorded six penalty minutes this season with the Blue Jackets. He has tallied 2-1-3 and 50 penalty minutes in 37 games with Syracuse this season. Columbus? seventh pick, 168th overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft, he made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets in 2006-07 and collected 0-4-4 and 12 penalty minutes with a +5 plus/minus rating in 20 games. In 159 career AHL games, he has registered 5-27-32 and 183 penalty minutes with the Crunch. [READ]
