Blue Jackets Activate Murray; Place Federov On IR

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Andrew Murray off Injured Reserve and placed center Sergei Fedorov on Injured Reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Murray will be available to return to the lineup tonight when Columbus visits the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.

Murray, 26, made his NHL debut December 27 at Nashville and has registered two goals with two penalty minutes and an even plus/minus rating in six games with Columbus this season. He has not played in a game since suffering a concussion at St. Louis on January 8. He has tallied 13-2-15 with 15 penalty minutes and a +3 plus/minus rating in 34 games with the Blue Jackets? American Hockey League affiliate the Syracuse Crunch this season. The Selkirk, Manitoba native was Columbus? 11th pick, 242nd overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft. [READ]
