Avs' Stastny Out Up To Three Weeks After Surgery

yahoo.com - Avalanche center Paul Stastny had surgery to remove his appendix Thursday and will miss up to three weeks, including his first All-Star game on Jan. 27.

Stastny, the team's leading scorer, felt pain in his abdomen Thursday, and the team's medical staff determined he needed the appendectomy, trainer Matthew Sokolowski said.

Sokolowski said Stastny is expected to fully recover in two to three weeks. [READ]
