| 3rd January, 2008 - 8:16 pm | RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Michael Peca off injured reserve and have placed right wing David Vyborny on injured reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Peca, who has been sidelined since December 23 and missed the past five games, is available to return to the lineup tonight when the Jackets visit the Los Angeles Kings.
Peca, 33, has appeared in 25 games for the Blue Jackets this season and has registered two goals and 12 assists for 14 points with 28 penalty minutes. A two-time winner of the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL?s top defensive forward, once in 1996-97 with the Buffalo Sabres and then in 2001-02 with the New York Islanders, he has recorded 166-257-423 with 704 penalty minutes and has a cumulative plus/minus rating of +73 in 753 career games with the Vancouver Canucks, Sabres, Islanders, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Blue Jackets.
