Bruins Acquire Hnidy From Ducks For Bochenski

RealGM Staff Report - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired right wing Brandon Bochenski from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Shane Hnidy and Anaheim?s sixth round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In addition, the Ducks relinquished their option to exchange fourth round picks with the Bruins in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft (as part of the Stanislav Chistov deal, Nov. 13, 2006).

Bochenski, 25 (4/4/82), appeared in 20 games for the Bruins this season, collecting 0-6=6 points with a +2 rating and six penalty minutes (PIM). He also played in two games for Providence (Boston?s American Hockey League affiliate), scoring 1-0=1 point with a +1 rating. Originally selected by Ottawa in the seventh round (223rd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Bochenski has scored 21-26=47 points with 44 PIM in 101 career NHL games between Ottawa (2005-06), Chicago (2006-07) and Boston (2007).
