27th December, 2007 - 12:05 am
Yahoo.com - Hurricanes' center Matt Cullen left Wednesday's game against the Rangers during the second period after being on the receiving end of a hit by Colton Orr.

Cullen, who had his head down trying to find the puck near his skates, was hit by Orr in the head and stayed on the ice for several moments. Cullen was helped to the locker room and is not expected to return to the game.

Orr was assessed an interference penalty and a game misconduct on the play.

Cullen has a broken nose and Hurricanes' Coach Peter Laviolette also thinks that he has a mild concussion. His injury comes less than a week after Justin Williams was lost for the season with a knee injury. [READ]
