Arnott Nets Hat Trick As Preds End 5-Game Slide
23rd December, 2007 - 6:37 am
ESPN - This trick was a long time in the making.

Jason Arnott recorded his first hat trick in more than two years, and the Nashville Predators snapped a five-game losing streak by beating Los Angeles 4-3 Saturday night and sending the Kings to their seventh straight loss.

Arnott scored 2:34 in to give the Predators a 1-0 lead. He took a pass from Jordin Tootoo as they entered the Los Angeles zone on a 2-on-1. Tootoo fed Arnott in the low slot, and Arnott redirected it past goalie Jason LaBarbera.

"Jordin is known for his aggressiveness, but he can also make plays," Arnott said. "He showed great energy and great skill to set me up on the first goal."

Lubomir Visnovsky got Los Angeles even at 11:10, and the Kings took a 2-1 lead on Patrick O'Sullivan's short-handed goal midway through the second period. [READ]
