Rangers Recall Dawes, Moore From AHL Hartford

RealGM Staff Report - New York Rangers' President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forwards Nigel Dawes and Greg Moore have been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL), and forward Ryan Callahan has been reassigned to Hartford.

Dawes, 22, has skated in 16 games with the Rangers this season, registering four goals and one assist for five points. The 5-9, 190-pound forward has appeared in 24 games for New York over the last two seasons, recording five goals and one assist for six points. Prior to his recall, Dawes had recorded nine goals and 18 assists for 27 points in 14 games with Hartford (AHL). His 18 assists led the Wolf Pack at the time, and he ranked third in points (27).

Moore, 23, has skated in 26 games with Hartford (AHL) this season, registering 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points, along with 15 penalty minutes and a plus-20 rating. Moore leads the Wolf Pack in goals (15) and plus/minus rating (plus-20), and his 29 points are tied for first on the team. His 15 goals and 29 points are also tied for third and ninth, respectively, in the AHL, and he leads the league in plus/minus rating (plus-20). The 6-1, 210-pound forward has skated in one game with the Rangers this season.

Callahan, 22, has appeared in 15 games with the Rangers this season, registering one goal and 12 penalty minutes. The Rochester, New York native has recorded five goals and two assists for seven points, along with 21 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating in 29 games with the Rangers over the last two seasons. He also skated in 10 post-season contests, tallying two goals and one assist for three points. The 5-11, 188-pound forward returns to Hartford (AHL), where he registered 35 goals and 20 assists for 55 points, along with a plus-seven rating and 74 penalty minutes in 60 games last season en route to being named to the 2006-07 AHL All-Rookie Team.
