Blue Jackets Activate Novotny Off IR

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Jiri Novotny off injured reserve, Blue Jackets' General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Novotny, who has been sidelined since November 23 and missed the past eight games, is available to return to the lineup tonight when the Jackets host the Colorado Avalanche.

Novotny, 24, has recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points with eight penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 22 games this season. The Pelhrimov, Czech Republic native has registered 12-20-32 with 36 penalty minutes in 104 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals and Blue Jackets. [READ]
