Blue Jackets Send MacKenzie, Lindstrom To AHL Syracuse

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Derek MacKenzie and left wing Joakim Lindstrom to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today.

MacKenzie made his Blue Jackets debut and was scoreless vs. Anaheim on Monday night. He has recorded 10 goals and five assists for 15 points with 24 penalty minutes and is +1 in 27 games this season with the Crunch, ranking second on the club in goals and fourth in points.

Lindstrom picked up 1-0-1 in three games with Columbus, scoring his second career NHL goal vs. Colorado on December 5. He has collected 11-13-24 and 24 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Crunch this season and was leading the club in goals and points and ranked second in assists, while tied for seventh in the AHL in goals and ninth in points when he was recalled on December 3.
