Jackets Recall Lindstrom From AHL Syracuse

RealGM Staff Report - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Joakim Lindstrom from the Syracuse Crunch, the club?s American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets' General Manager Scott Howson announced today. The club also assigned goaltender Tomas Popperle to Syracuse. Popperle was added to the roster on emergency recall on November 28.

Lindstrom, who turns 24 on Wednesday, has collected 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points with 24 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Crunch this season. He leads the club in goals and points, while ranking second in assists. He is tied for seventh in the AHL in goals and is tied for ninth in points.

The Skelleftea, Sweden, native has tallied 51-72-123 with 110 penalty minutes in 149 career AHL games. He has appeared in 12 games with the Blue Jackets and scored his first career NHL goal at Minnesota on December 29. He was the Blue Jackets? second pick, 41st overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
