NHL.com - The Los Angeles Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi Monday announced that the team has sent goaltender Jonathan Bernier back to Lewiston of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Bernier, 19, has played in four games for the Kings this season, including his Kings/NHL debut on September 29 against Anaheim in London, and he has a 1-3-0 recor and a 4.03 goals-against-average. The 5-11, 177-pound native of Laval, Quebec, was originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (11th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

?We feel the decision to return Jonathan to the Quebec League is the best means to ensure that Jonathan reaches his potential," Lombardi said of Bernier. "This young man is 19 years old and if he continues to mature properly he has a bright future ahead of him." [READ]
