Peca, Rangers Must Wait

N.Y. Post - Two-time Selke Trophy winner Mike Peca likely will wait until next week to learn if he'll become a Ranger. Talks have been initiated, but serious negotiations are on hold until Monday or Tuesday while Glen Sather reportedly is in Banff, Ontario.

The Rangers named Anders Hedberg, their star right wing from 1978-85, as head professional European scout. Hedberg was director of player personnel during a five-year stay with Ottawa. With 397 points, Hedberg remains the top European-trained scorer as a Ranger. [READ]
