| 14th August, 2007 - 9:01 am | N.Y. Post - Negotiations may have bogged down to bring Mike Peca to the Rangers, but it seems likely the former Sabre and Islander captain will soon join an already formidable arsenal of Blueshirt forwards.
Talks are expected to resume shortly, perhaps tomorrow, aimed at adding the 33-year-old center to a lineup boasting Jaromir Jagr, Scott Gomez, Chris Drury, Brendan Shanahan, Martin Straka, Petr Prucha, Sean Avery and Marcel Hossa.
Peca is an unrestricted free agent from the Maple Leafs and is believed to be focusing on joining the Rangers' charge at the Stanley Cup. He played only 35 games last season, suffering a massive leg fracture that required pins and plates. [READ] |
