Clark Signs Extension With Capitals

Associated Press - Chris Clark liked what the Capitals did to improve this offseason so much, he decided to stick around.

Clark could have become an unrestricted free agent after next season, but Washington's captain instead signed a $7.9 million, three-year deal Wednesday.

"A lot of it had to do with security. Other than that ... I really wanted to be a part of next year and beyond," Clark said. "I like where I am. I like the organization. I love the area." [READ]
