Kings Sign Hickey

RealGM Staff Report - The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a three-year entry-level contract with defenseman Thomas Hickey, the club?s first-round selection (fourth overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not announced.

Hickey, 18, played in 68 regular season games this past season with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and had 50 points ? including a team-leading 41 assists ? 70 penalty minutes and a plus-15 rating. In 11 playoff games with Seattle, the 5-11, 182-pound blueliner had seven points (3-4=7) and four penalty minutes. [READ]
