Capitals Sign Nylander

TSN - The Washington Capitals today signed veteran centre Michael Nylander to a four-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The 34-year-old appeared in 79 games with the New York Rangers last season, and was second to Jaromir Jagr in team scoring with 26 goals and 83 points. He led the Rangers in scoring in the 2006-07 playoffs with six goals and 13 points in ten games.

Nylander signed a two-year contract with the Rangers as a free agent in 2004. He was originally drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1991 entry draft. [READ]
