| 2nd July, 2007 - 3:56 pm | RealGM Staff Report - New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with free agent defenseman Jason Strudwick.
Strudwick, 31, skated in eight games with the Rangers this past season after signing as a free agent with the club on March 19. Following his signing, the Blueshirts posted a 6-1-1 record with him in the lineup. Prior to joining New York, Strudwick appeared in 34 games with HC Lugano of the Swiss-A League, registering two goals and three assists, along with 28 penalty minutes. He also collected four penalty minutes in six postseason contests with the Swiss club.
In 2005-06, Strudwick skated in 65 games with the Rangers, tallying three goals and four assists for seven points, along with 66 penalty minutes. His three goals and seven points established career-highs, while his 15:31 of average ice time also set a career-mark. [READ] |
