The Ducks announced today that the club has signed right wing Jakob Silfverberg to a one-year contract through the 2014-15 NHL season.

Silfverberg, 23, has scored 42 points and 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 100 career NHL games. Silfverberg set career highs in points (23), assists and games played (52), and matched his career best in goals last season with Anaheim.

Selected by Ottawa in the second round (39th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Silfverberg won silver at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games with Team Sweden, earning one assist in six games.
