David Nonis, Senior VP and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday the hockey club has acquired Matt Frattin from the Jackets in exchange for Jerry D’Amigo and a conditional seventh round draft pick in the 2015 Entry Draft.

Frattin, 26, returns to Toronto after previously playing for the Maple Leafs from 2010-11 to 2012-13. In 82 career games with the Blue and White, the forward registered 28 points on 15 goals and 13 assists, along with 29 penalty minutes. He split last season between the Kings and the Blue Jackets during which he played 44 games collecting seven points (two goals, five assists) and 11 penalty minutes.

D’Amigo played 22 games for the Maple Leafs in 2013-14 and earned one goal and two assists. He spent most of the past four seasons with the AHL’s Marlies and was chosen 158th overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2009 Entry Draft.
