Sabres, Red Wings Highlight Tonight's Playoff Action

Yahoo.com - The Sabres enjoyed their best regular season in franchise history. Now they will try to carry over that success to the postseason.

The Sabres begin their playoff run Thursday when they host the Islanders in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

In the Western Conference, the top-seeded Red Wings, who tied the Sabres with 113 points during the regular season, take on the eighth-seeded Flames in the opener of their quarterfinal series.
