Kings Sign Ivanans To One-Year Extension

Press Release - The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Raitis Ivanans to a one-year contract extension, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Ivanans, 28, has played in 56 games for the Kings this season, his first with the club, and has eight points (4-4=8) and a team-high 117 penalty minutes. The 6-4, 250-pound native of Riga, Latvia, signed with the Kings as a free agent on July 13, 2006.

In 60 career regular season NHL games with the Kings and Montreal, Ivanans has eight points (4-4=8) and 126 penalty minutes. He scored his first career goal on October 12, 2006, at STAPLES Center in a game against Dallas.

The Kings play the Ducks today at the Honda Center at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KTLK AM 1150, along the Kings Radio Network, Ch. 56 (Ducks broadcast) and TSN.
